naked chocolate
Naked Chocolate: The Astonishing Truth About the World's Greatest Food. A wonderful, passionately informative book about chocolate and its many health benefits. Lot's of great never-before-seen recipes too that will take you WAY outside the chocolate box. David's focus is on whole, live foods and he advocates raw products of all kinds.

History of Chocolate
The True History of Chocolate, Second Edition History buffs rejoice! Everything you've ever wanted to know about the history of chocolate and just a little bit more. Well organized, easy to read.

Glucose Revolution
The New Glucose Revolution for Diabetes: The Definitive Guide to Managing Diabetes and Prediabetes Using the Glycemic Index (Marlowe Diabetes Library) Whether or not you have diabetes, this is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to eat normally without gaining weight. I recommend the entire series including The Glucose Revolution Life Plan, Glucose Revolution for Sports Performance, Weight Loss, Gluten-Free and more.

Emporers of Chocolate
The Emperors of Chocolate: Inside the Secret World of Hershey and Mars Superior late-night reading...intrigfuing and suspensful, the ultimate cross between politics and chocolate. Lots of juicy gossip you never knew, guaranteed to add life to any party conversation.

Bittersweet Saga

Chocolate: A Bittersweet Saga of Dark and Light Travel around the world with chocolate officianado Mort Rosenblum as he reveals the secrets of the greatest chocolatiers--at least the ones that he could find (I'm just saying there could me more.) Unique and informative....if you're planning a trip around the world in search of the perfect chocolate, this is your essential guide.

Chocolate Unwrapped
Chocolate Unwrapped: The Surprising Health Benefits of America's Favorite Passion A nice cross between health benefits and Fair Trade information. A great book for anyone building their own chocolate library.

Hot Chocolate
Hot Chocolate Not your ordinary cup of hot chocolate by any means. This book takes drinking chocolate to a whole new level. In fact, you'll turn into a hot chocolate snob immediately after sampling just one or two recipes.

Chocolate and Cocoa
Cocoa And Chocolate - Their History From Plantation To Consumer If you're planning to start your own cacao plantation, you can hardly expect to get a running start without a copy of this book on hand. If not, excellent reading for the passionate cacao enthusiast.

Chocolates and Confections
Chocolates and Confections: Formula, Theory, and Technique for the Artisan Confectioner There's certainly no shortage of books on how to make extraordinary chocolate, so best to go straight to the ultimate source. (Chocolate) soup to nuts, this book has it all.

Chocolate Obsession
Chocolate Obsession: Confections and Treats to Create and Savor Pop-off-the-page pictures, brilliant chocolatiers and avante guarde ingredients make this book second to none for the aspiring chocolatier. Geared more toward graduate-level chocolate making, but novices will be inspired.

Bittersweet Recipes
Bittersweet: Recipes and Tales from a Life in Chocolate Yes, another cookbook, but this one comes with mind-expanding tales of a born chocolatier. If you've never made 48 batches of the same brownies with only a slight alteration on each recipe, you need this book.

Ultimate Foods for Ultimate Health
Ultimate Foods for Ultimate Health: And Don't Forget the Chocolate! The beauty of this book is that not only is chocolate listed as one of the ultimate foods, but nearly every food in the book can be combined with chocolate for an extra healthy indulgence. Informative...required reading in today's toxic world.

Chocolate cookbook for Dummies
Chocolate Lover's Cookbook for Dummies What comprehensive chocolate book library would be complete without the Dummies Series addition? Suprisingly the book is loaded with so many references, websites, how-to's and other imperative chocolate information that it hardly belongs in the "cookbook" category, but rather in the encyclopedias-of-chocolate.

Chocolate: A Healthy Passion
Chocolate - A Healthy Passion Two nutritionists join forces to explain the health benefits of chocolate. Also included are lessons on how to expand your chocolate experience and how cultures around the world enjoy. More good news, just published in 2008!

The Science of Chocolate
The Science of Chocolate (Issues in Environmental Scienc) Not for the light of heart, THIS is science. Everything you need to know about chocolate from bean to bar, and everything in between.

Candy Freak
Candyfreak : A Journey through the Chocolate Underbelly of America (an Alex Awards winner) I haven't actually read this book, but after reading the review I decided it's so close to my own life I won't finish the year without it. Check it out...very funny, especially if you were raised on M & M's and red licorice like I was.

Younger You
Younger You: Unlock the Hidden Power of Your Brain to Look and Feel 15 Years Younger Research on chocolate and the brain is just as hot now as the chocolate/heart connection was a few years ago. This book helps you understand how the brain works and how to step up the process. 50% of all people surviving to age 95 will have Alzheimer's--a good read for at least half the population.

Cook's Guide to Spices
A Busy Cook's Guide to Spices: How to Introduce New Flavors to Everyday Meals I read this book while researching which spices work best with chocolates. The good news....almost all of them do. Great research on how to use spices in various meals, their medicinal qualities, how to pair them food and wine and too much more to list.

Sport Nutritioin Guide
Sports Nutrition Guide: Minerals, Vitamins & Antioxidants for Athletes I've read hundreds of books about what to eat for optimal health, but I've never seen research as comprehensive and applicable as what I found in this book. Not only what to eat, but how your body metabolizes and uses it too. The writing style is brazen (plenty of sassy author's opinions), but the information is very interesting.

Deepak Chopra Book of Secrets
The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life (Chopra, Deepak) My bible of motivation. It seems most of us have a book or an author that has profoundly touched our lives and for me it's Deepak Chopra. I'm intrigued by his ability to combine spirituality with quantum physics and his qualities of inspiration, universality and compassion, not to mention he's been on Oprah--all things I aspire to! I've read all of his books and I'd recommend any of them....you'll know which title is right for you when you see it.
